  During my research, I model the thermal response of a defect in a material experiencing ultrasonic loading, through a contact physics model. Additions to an existing contact mechanics model have been implemented. Currently performing experiments to corroborate the numerical model. In addition to my research as a PhD at KULAK, I am active as a teaching assistant and final responsible for various bachelor courses. Effective communication, extensive feedback, and didactic mentoring, resulted into very positive feedback from students and professors.
