Kevin is an incredible 3D environmental artist, as well as an excellent University instructor. I was a student of his when I was in his advanced CGI Production class, and if it wasn't for his incredible teaching intelligence, I would not have been able to become an advanced 3D artist, as well as a quick and efficient team member that I am today. Kevin also knew that I was a different type of learner, he adjusted his teaching method to help me progress through the class, without slowing down the pace of the curriculum. I will always be thankful to have had the opportunity to learn under his excellent guidance.

Kevin Taylor was my professor during my time at Webster University. He's a teacher of the highest caliber that genuinely cared about the success of his students. His assignment briefs were always very clearly articulated with straightforward grading criteria. Though Kevin had high expectations for the capabilities of his students, they did not scare or stupefy. Rather, they inspired personal growth and a desire to always go above and beyond. Kevin’s grading was always more than fair, and any points that were lost on assignments were clearly explained with references to the grading criteria of the assignment. He always took the time to provide meaningful and constructive feedback on all assignments, whether it was an essay or a 3D model. Through his sincerity and unflinching willingness to discuss topics like sexism and racism in video games and the industry itself, Kevin was able to create an environment that was very inclusive to students of all walks of life. His teaching style is full of humor and insightful explanations that were able to hold students’ attention, even during morning classes. Kevin’s lectures were always very interactive, and it never felt like a chore to participate in the conversations that he led. I would recommend Kevin Taylor without question to any company or university. His attention to detail and ability to instruct, challenge, and inspire his students would be celebrated at any establishment lucky enough to have him in their employ.

Imperator Interactive creates and published artwork with accompanying Augmented Reality animations. From comic books and posters to augmented reality (AR) applications, they seek to push the boundaries of traditional and cross media storytelling practices for new and innovative user experiences. The company released its first comic book miniseries, Ophidian, in Fall 2022. The series follows unlikely heroes as they resist an apocalyptic prophecy in a dark underworld that exists outside of our view. An accompanying AR application that will bring the comics pages to life is in development, with animations furthering the comics story by providing unique insights into events, and the characters inner workings.
