Aim is to add to England's fast bowling numbers due to the rigourous demands of the skill. This includes working within coach education and to provide fast bowling coaching within the England Cricket pathway. Coach Education includes identifying and upskilling elite fast bowling coaches, writing the content for Level II & III fast bowling modules, and to write and deliver the Level IV elite coach fast bowling module. Also to lead research into fast bowling related studies. Two PhD's have recently been completed by Craig Ranson and Peter Worthington regarding lower back injuries to fast bowlers and the characteristics of fast bowlers. A new PhD has been agreed and initial studies have begun. The information from these studies is disseminated through coach education when it is peer reviewed. Show less
