Dave Sheppard
During my time at Royal Mail I managed Infostrata as one of a number of suppliers. Kevin Rowland was the lead solution architect and delivery lead; and day to day contact for the organisation. Kevin showed excellent knowledge and skill throughout the Microsoft stack and was critical to the overall success of the project. He was able to adapt his industry standard process skills and wide ranging practical experience of getting things to work on the ground, to the unconventional architectural and process adopted at the Royal Mail Group. On a personal level, Kevin was able to integrate effectively into a multi-organisational team, including CSC, and contribute to supporting all members of the team even when outside the scope of his work. The migration of applications from Lotus Notes to SharePoint involved a wide range of work to the migration of simple, but high volume applications; through to integrating solutions to legacy applications. Even when challenges were met, Kevin was always quick to react to find alternative and pragmatic solutions to ensure the overall goal of fully decommissioning Lotus Notes. This was critical to the success of a project, where the risk is always 100% of the effort can easily be focused on 80% of achievable deliverables, leaving the more challenging 20% undelivered, as can often happen in large scale migration and decommissioning projects. Kevin got on extremely well with end users and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. I look forward to working with Kevin again in the future, and would recommend him to any future client or employer.

Kevin and his company are probably the most able programmers I have met. They are able to supply well executed solutions to complex business requirements using the latest technologies.

A varied role incorporating many aspects of SharePoint solution development, configuration, and migration for large public and private enterprises. On a daily basis I’m responsible for project management, requirement gathering, and collaborating with our development teams, local and remote. As a company we are often working for large IT outsourcing companies as their SharePoint specialists. In this role I’m usually responsible for specifying and delivering SharePoint based solutions to their clients, whilst providing project management, support, and knowledge transfer to the outsourcer. I also keep track of the development process and provide technical input into our agile based development team. Show less
