  - Assume full responsibility for the proper management of the mud-logging unit, including crew, equipment, supplies and operation. This includes: • Complete Unit and HSE Inspections; • Ensure the confidentiality of all information and data resulting from the performance of the service; • Ensure all newly arrived crew members receive a full Weatherford rig site and HSE Induction; • Ensure crew members maintain good communication with other rig-site personnel. - Ensure Competence Assessments are performed on crew members. - Ensure all Monthly and Weekly Reports for the client and Weatherford office are correctly and accurately completed and dispatched in a timely manner. - Perform Quality Control of any Logs and the Final Well Report. - Ensure that all sample and hydrocarbon show descriptions are completed accurately; - Ensure the crew update all logs, prints and plots requested by the client daily and as needed to specifications in the contract terms; - Ensure the unit rig-up is completed successfully and that all equipment is installed and operating as required by the client. - Maintain regular verbal and written contact with the local base to report the current situation and discuss possible problems in the field. - Review and understand the basic terms of the service contract with the Local Weatherford office prior to the job starting. - Ensure performance of regular and frequent calibration checks of instruments. - Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly within specifications and contract requirements and ensure all necessary repairs are performed as required on all equipment. - Promote new techniques and activities in order to increase potential markets. Be prepared to supply the client with technical information concerning equipment and processes used in mud logging, as well as any other relevant information requested by the client. Show less
