Production Welder Supervisor

Supervisor QA/QC Welder/Fabrication for the pole division -Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and sequences to meet production goals. -Maintain a clean shop, work area and accurate welding and material records. -Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required. -Recognize and communicate blueprint discrepancies to Engineering and other Department Supervisors. -Train welders in the proper use of personal protective equipment and the safe operation of welding machines and tools. -Assist welders and fitters in obtaining needed parts and/or assemblies and the distribution of supplies. -Streamline sequence of operations and monitor weld machine settings and performance in order to achieve the highest arc times and deposition rates that can be attained within the limits set by the WPS and quality standard. -Ensure that welders are capable of passing RT and UT requirements. -Identify and correct poor fit-up and welding practices that generate excessive rework and scrap. -Inspect work or confer with Inspector to maintain specified standards and quality. -Follow and complete any training requested by the company. -Monitor and enforce work start, break, and stop times of the department’s personnel. -Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable for their actions. -Maintain and enforce discipline. -Respect, follow and embrace all the Safety Procedures. -Liaison with Plant Manager and other Department Supervisors to maximize efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
