  My role was the Lead Setter in a team charged with operational start up and readiness at a new state of the art plant producing weather-seals in the Q-Lon side of the business. • My role was to work closely with both the Engineering & Technical teams to assist in delivering 3 fully operational machines in a 17 month timeframe. A part of my role was to cascade knowledge gained from my own bespoke training down to new members of staff, helping in turn to further other team members knowledge and skill set which aided in stepping our unit to a 24/7 facility at the earliest opportunity. Through knowledge gained working in a sister plant I was able to provide valuable feedback to the design/development team which enabled us as a business to further improve the machinery being installed. • As a key part of production team i was able to assist in developing new SOP & RA’s through knowledge gained during instillation of the machinery, as well as offering different solutions and ideas to improve our process. • My daily duties require me to maintain a high standard of department administration as well as driving throughput for all machinery, additionally I am tasked with managing staff holidays, absenteeism and discipline needs. •As part of my role I was tasked with undertaking various training courses unfamiliar with me,which would enable me to have the correct skills in the event of an emergency. Completing each course successfully along the way. As well as personal development I was also tasked with creating training plans & training matrices for all production staff with the Unit, further improving on existing documentation already in place. My role required me to work both locally as well as away from home for extended periods, this allowed me to experience both the domestic side & commercial side of the glazing trade. During my time with the business I was also able to train alongside an experienced team of fabricators in the businesses manufacturing facility, this allowed me to further my knowledge of the products I worked with.
