I most recently served as superintendent of schools at USD No. 253 Emporia Public Schools in Emporia, Kansas. District Facts: 4,600 Students; 1,000 +/- employees; $47.9 Million operating budget; 53.569 mill tax rate; $18 million in bonded indebtedness; An early childhood center for 3 and 4 year olds; Six neighborhood elementary schools with full day kindergarten; A middle school for grades 6-8; A high school for grades 9-12; Credit recovery and high school diploma program for teenagers and adults; 2 business partnerships with local businesses to support employees in gaining a high school diploma and or citizenship. USD 253 is the sponsoring district for Flint Hills Special Education Cooperative. In November of 2019, district patrons approved a $78 million bond issue to renovate, upgrade, and build new facilities. I was able to secure an additional $6 million donation from the Jones Trust to provide a number of enhancements to the new early learning facility which will be a flagship early learning facility in the midwest.

CaseByCaseSolutions provides customized consulting services to both educational and business groups. My passion lies in the areas of Leadership, Technology Leadership, Vision, and Change. I work with entities to help build vision about the possibilities that exist when technology, vision, and change all work together toward a common cause. My goal is to assist others with creating that big picture of what can be and defining possibilities that you may not know exist. With technology, many people are overwhelmed and feel behind, sometimes just sharing what the possibilities can be along with developing a plan to move forward helps to engage stakeholders in buying in to the process. I also work to assist people in building sustainable budgets to help make technology solutions possible. Finally, I'm able to customize the time we have together and read the progress of your stakeholders to help make the day a success. Other topic's I work with groups on include, but are not limited to: *Leveraging Web 2.0 tool (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram. . . ); *Eliminating Barriers--Finding Solutions to help your group move forward; *Planning and goal setting; *iPad training; *1-1 Planning and Vision; *Conversations about Change *Customized Consulting, Professional Development and Coaching based upon needs. I'd love to talk with you more about how I can help your school or business begin to move forward in this area.

I served as superintendent of schools at USD No. 448--Inman Schools for 17 years. I thoroughly enjoyed the many roles I was able to fulfill during my tenure with the district. In January of 2014, we completed a $4.5 million dollar expansion to our facilities, adding a new early learning wing, renovated our existing auditorium, and added additional paved parking at the High School. Thanks to our patrons for having confidence in us to approve these renovations and additions. We are in our fourth year as a 1-1 iPad school for students in grades 3-12 and are considered a leader in 1-1 iPad schools. We have received the distinction of Apple Distinguished Program the past two years which is truly a reflection of the incredible staff that we have here at USD No. 448. In November of 2014 I was given the opportunity to travel to The White House to participate in the #FutureReady Superintendents Summit. What an awesome experience along with the ability to connect with superintendents on a national level. Check us out on Facebook--Like Inman Schools or follow us on Twitter @InmanSchools or #InmanSchools.
