My main focus is to maintain the right equipment to the right standard at the right time. This is done with the use of SAP, master data & maintenance strategies. As a Nominated Competent Person and Nominated Supervisor at E.ON UK my key roles are to set people to work applying general safety rules and to carry out work on the plant. Work includes preparing, scheduling, planning and carrying out installations, maintenance, repairs and calibrations to equipment on site that has electrical wiring. Records of my findings are kept and maintained for condition monitoring, fault diagnosis & maintenance management.

ABK are consulting engineers based within Tata Steel in Teesside. My portfolio of work from my time at ABK includes new construction and refurbishment/modification of existing structures in a variety of environments. I gained a vast amount of experience on a broad range of industrial projects and associated infrastructure developments within the UK Corus sites as well as external projects. My portfolio is made up from recent contracts, outlining different aspects of structural engineering, such as steel framework, reinforced concrete, detail drawings and general arrangement drawings. My work covers a wide range of structures from heavy and light industrial facilities, to heavy civil structures, to factories and warehouses and buildings/offices. Usually work was from rough sketches and outlines, models or oral instructions, and then I was expected to work out details on a CAD System in completing drafting assignments. Much independence was required to carry out the assignments, although technical advise and assistance was available when needed from Architects, Engineers & Project Managers. Work was reviewed by periodic checks of progress and by evaluation of completed assignments. My duties and responsibilities were to prepare engineering drawings manually and on CAD Systems, which involved limited design, to establish complete and accurate data necessary in building and renovation of projects. Preparing detailed drawings of building alterations and additions including plans, sections, and elevations. Gathering supporting data and preparing detailed maps of institutional property which show dimensions and specifications of building, water lines, sewers, drains, and related information. Preparing detailed layout, assembly, and working drawings; files and indexes drawings.

My portfolio of work from my time at TCP is built up with the design of pre-cast concrete products of which includes stairs & landings, terracing units, sea defense units, beam & block & wide slab flooring, lift shafts, columns, ground beams and any other specialist precast concrete units required for projects all over the U.K. As well as the design element I had to perform supervisory work in overseeing a variety of projects. My duties and responsibilities were the planning, design and coordinating of projects designated to me by communication at all times with Architects, Engineers & Project Managers. Work closely with skilled tradesmen to produce the best quality product to tight deadlines. Continuous checking of plans and specifications, determining that all needed materials and supplies were to get to the proper site. Frequent visits to the site to assure that plans were being followed. Studying project plans, drawings, and specifications; conferring with division designers and superiors to adjust discrepancies and clarify details. Developing project operational plans; arranges for, schedules, and coordinates the assignments of personnel to the project according to the needed skills. Visit projects frequently and determine that plans were being followed and efficient productive work was being accomplished; determine that the necessary safety precautions were being followed. Prepared reports and maintained required records.
