I’ve was working with Kerstin Wärn in Scandinavian Airlines for around 4 years, almost all the time Kerstin has reported directly to me, in the SAS Data/Scandinavian IT Group business units in Scandinavian Airlines. In that time we created a Scandinavian IT Service Desk organization going from a country setup, that worked in common tools and processes supporting more than 28.000 customers worldwide. The organization went from being in the bottom in the customer survey in Q1, to be ranked number 1 in Q3, the fastest movement in any customer survey ever seen in Scandinavian Airlines. In 2004 after been sold to CSC, we created a virtual Service Desk combining more than 7 different IT Service Desk supporting more than 3000 customers contracts into one common supporting all the customers. Kerstin was a massive driver in getting all this done, working as one team in our organization, making the strategy/gaps and afterwards and afterwards drive all the projects to completions Kerstin always take care of her employs. She is always doing the prioritization of the members of her team, building it even stronger do to her leadership across country borders and cultures. Kerstin is well respected from her surroundings; due to her extensive knowledge within IT Service Desk, customer engagement, process knowledge and tool knowledge, she is a great advantage to any business. She is very ambitious and always state all the time; how can we do this better and faster. Kerstin is calm and very structured under major incidents, going the last mile, to keep the business running or get them back as fast as possible. Extremely valuable troubleshooter, in all situation from helicopter view, to the smallest detail in a corner of IT. Kerstin is always fun to work with, in the atmosphere combining Swedish, Danish and Norwegian humor. Kerstin is comes very recommended and I would hire her again in a new job, if I have any positions in the company, where I will go next year.
