It's been my pleasure to work with Kerstin on two complex projects using an offshore vendor to develop highly customised Sharepoint sites. This project broke new ground in the way we branded these sites and in the way information was presented to our Marketing clients. Working with offshore vendors is different because it's not possible to be in their internal detailed meetings and to hear the real issues. Instead the vendor tries to portray an "everything is fine" atmosphere which in reality isn't the case. Kerstin was very good at understanding this and used probing questions at every meeting to get to the true status of the project, which then allowed us to suggest ways to break through obstacles and discuss realistic ways forwards. She also flushed out problems by setting short term stage gates so she could see actual progress (or delays) and help drive the project back on track when necessary. Kerstin is a very determined and intelligent project manager with a full grasp of the detail in her projects and able to deal with difficult situations and clients. The on time & on budget delivery of these projects via remote management was largely down to her project management skills. Kerstin also has a marvellous sense of humour and lifts the team spirit on each of the projects we have worked on. I happily recommend her and wish her the best for her future.
