Kerry is highly skilled at directing projects and operations on a large and small scale. I worked with him on a major desktop computer upgrade project with many complicated elements where he kept his team working efficiently and effectively with the rest of the IT department. I worked for Kerry on a datacenter migration that delivered major project milestones on time or early because he was able to multitask and direct resources where and when they were needed. It was a complex project with many moving parts and it was a success due in no small part to his excellent leadership. Kerry helps his staff to do their best work by allowing them to get things done without distraction and by encouraging a collaborative work environment. He is always willing to listen to different ideas and discuss possible solutions. He knows that his staff know their jobs and lets them do their duties with just the right amount of supervision. I thoroughly enjoyed having Kerry as a colleague for many years. He would be an outstanding asset to any organization.

Molloy University is a leading private university serving 5K+ undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students annually. ⌨ Learn more about MU at: www.molly.edu As Associate Director of eSports, I was recruited to build, operationalize, and scale an eSports Division from the ground up (from concept to execution). I developed a highly competitive eSports program with the goal of attracting students, revenue, talent, and global interest. Among my accomplishments, I have: ➥ Led IT teams to prepare the IT infrastructure, establish a secure private network, and configure for maximum performance; designed and implemented all cabling for the new department. ➥ Maintained a strong security posture across the entire network. ➥ Sourced, qualified, and selected best-fit vendors to procure eSports equipment. ➥ Implemented switches, routers, and internet connectivity to support 7+ eSports teams. ➥ Optimized all firewall configurations to maximize connection speed. ➥ Achieved a 50ms reduction in overall latency. ➥ Recruited 50 students annually from the eSports Division, contributing $33K+ in tuition each. ➥ Positioned Molloy University firmly on the global eSports map to raise its public profile. ➥ Established a global network of industry leaders, partners, eSports vendors, schools, businesses, and program supporters. ➥ Supported all marketing activities to enhance the program’s reach and impact. ➥ Successfully positioned the department as a revenue generator, growth driver, regional disruptor, and acquisition/retention tool for talented students. Global Technology Services Manager
-
2012 - 2018
As Global Technology Services Manager, I was responsible for developing and implementing an integrated IT infrastructure roadmap for a $1.2B global law firm. I led a geographically dispersed team of 28 staff to optimize core IT functions, deploy and operationalize state-of-the-art tools and technologies, mitigate IT obsolescence and interoperability risks, and develop forward-looking IT policies and programs with an emphasis on security, productivity, stability, and compliance. Here are some of the ways I’ve made positive contributions to business performance: ➥ Managed key IT modernization projects; ensured all IT infrastructure met established goals for reliability, scalability, and performance. ➥ Led a full server virtualization initiative that contributed to $5MM+ in YoY cost savings. ➥ Managed day-to-day operations across a range of IT functions and systems, including: Infrastructure, Integrations, Telephony, and Enterprise Architecture. ➥ Engineered a Disaster Recovery plan to strengthen risk, security, and compliance postures. ➥ Project managed and launched 5 Tier 3 global datacenters; ensured the accurate migration of data from 16 offices across 13 countries (encompassing 1,300+ servers) to all 5 data centers. Achieved $2MM+ in annual cost savings from the project which was delivered one year ahead of schedule. ➥ Rebuilt the technology infrastructure (including equipment design, IT wiring, routers, and switches) to mitigate reliability issues. ➥ Established efficient IT procedures that are standardized, scalable, and informed by industry best practices. ➥ Lowered T1 issue frequency from twice a week to twice a year. Reduced downtime by 99.93% and increased response time and resolution to 95%. ➥ Consolidated multiple phone systems into one Cisco phone system serving 16 offices and 5 datacenters for improved reliability, collaboration, and cost savings. ➥ Managed and administered a $6MM+ OPEX budget. Director of Institutional Technology
-
2007 - 2010
I joined Saint Ann’s School in 2007, where I inherited an outdated IT infrastructure with significant performance issues. Throughout my tenure, I was able to strengthen overall risk posture, introduce redundancies, and retire outdated systems to optimize and modernize all IT infrastructure. Some of my additional contributions include: ➥ Migrated all finance and student management systems to a unified Cloud platform; scaled systems uptime by 79%, achieved $1,200 in monthly cost savings, and reduced email costs to zero. ➥ Decommissioned costly Point-to-Point connections across six locations, resulting in $5,000+ in monthly cost savings.
