Property Management Support team member. I work along side the property managers to ensure that renewals of tenancy agreements, dilapidation's of tenancy deposits and update and arrange gas, electric and boiler certificates. I draw up Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement renewals for the managed and let-only and let-rent properties. This involves liaising with the landlord and the tenant to establish the length of extension, the terms and conditions and the level of rent the renewal will be based on. Using CFP I create the AST and send the document to the landlord and the tenant for electronic signature using DocuSign. At the end of a tenancy term I work closely with the tenant and the landlord to return the undisputed amount of the tenants deposit. I review the Check Out report that has been provided by the Inventory clerk and price up any items that are viewed as the responsibility of the tenant. With authorisation from the landlord I propose any charges to the tenant that are marked as 'tenant responsibility'. If the tenant does not agree with the proposed charges I submit or counter a claim made to either the TDS or the DPS. Both of these services are independent adjudicators and I must submit evidence as to why we are justified in claiming against the tenants deposit. My role also involves arranging the certificates for gas safety, electrical PAT and boiler safety certificates. I must liaise and arrange for contractors to attend the property to carry out the safety checks within a timely manner. Once we receive the certificate I upload this to our file using ARK file and forward the dates on CFP. Show less

At Premier Inn I started as a breakfast waitress. Throughout my time at the hotel I experienced all aspects of hospitality and customer service. I progressed from breakfast waitress to team leader, achieving an NVQ in Hospitality and catering through an apprenticeship. I learnt customer service skills on the front line and dealt with situations from wedding parties to ill guests. I learnt that communication is important and that managing expectations is the most important thing when dealing with the public. I also learnt management skills. I learnt how to manage a team across two departments and how to communicate and share responsibility. At any one time i would have a minimum of three people that I was responsible for. I really enjoyed my role in the restaurant and I was thrilled to experience the front desk of the hotel along with the restaurant and kitchen. Cash and finance management was also something that I learnt, I learnt about audits and the importance of financial management. As part of my latter role I also learnt stock management and ordering products and keeping track. Show less
