During 2017/2018 I facilitated regular support group meetings for mothers of young children going through a diagnostic process at a private children's clinic in South London and all mother's had expectations that Autism would be at least part of the mix. They shared stories, personal struggles and the emotional impact of the changes impacting them personally and their families. The sharing of information and the building of connections and support was highly valued.Between 2018 and 2020 I facilitated a monthly "Reflective Practice" group for the staff of a private Mental Health Hospital in South London. Each month was different as the group formed and reformed each month with staff attending as and when they could. Nursing staff, support workers, Psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and others shared personal stories and struggles openly and sensitively. The process built support, connection and understanding within the team and was a great team building experience. I have extensive experience of developing training for various and vastly different groups of people from short developmental trainings, bespoke daily workshops through to a 60 hour training delivered over a six week period. My trainings have been described as inspiring and life changing. I have developed and delivered a one day training for counsellors to improve their knowledge and enhance their understanding around autism and autism's impact on relationships and mental health.
