Training to be a Talent Acquisition specialist with Omni, a leading RPO that provides bespoke recruitment solutions to successful organisations throughout the UK. I was brought in as part of their trainee programme to develop my skills and utilise them within a recruitment setting. My training began with learning the basics such as how to create an efficient Boolean search to find the best candidates for the role I was recruiting for. I was recruiting for high volume roles to allow us to ease into the world of recruitment. This gave me an insight into how to screen candidates ensuring we are getting as much information as needed from the candidates to pass onto the hiring manager. It also entailed checking in with the candidates to ensure they are confident throughout the whole process and offering my support as and when needed.• Sourcing candidates• Formatting CV’s and ensuring all work is spell checked before passing over to hiring manager• Using multiple job boards such as indeed, cv library, etc to source potential candidates • Developing a good relationship with both the hiring manager and candidates • Interviewing candidates via telephony• Monitoring figures to ensure targets were met• Creating efficient Boolean searches• Supporting my colleagues as and when needed
