I became a part of Intuit's newest platform QuickBooks Live in it's earliest stage of development. Since it's inception just prior to the Covid 19 pandemic when people were starting their own businesses in record proportions the QB Live platform grew exponentially to serve over 3 million subscribers worldwide. My role is to advise the business owners about managing their accounts and using the proper technical workflows for Quickbooks Online. I help my clients (who are entrepreneurs and not Bookkeepers or Accountants) understand how to manage their financial records, basic accounting principals that effect their profitability and the proper use the reporting tools that reflect the overall health of their business. Scrapmettle was developed to serve two purposes -- to give people a way to express what was important to them through the medium of live theatre and to develop other artists and skilled workers in performing arts. I helped build this model with actor, Angela Williams Tripp and other people in our creative community in such a way that it would eventually be run entirely by the community. In August 2022, after 8+ years of learning the ropes, listening, creating new performances and training up the next gen, I turned Scrapmettle over to Angela who I completely trust to see my vision through. Elsewhere is a living museum and artist residency set inside a former thrift store. All the objects collected during its 58 year retail history are now being used and reused by artists from around the world to create new works of art. My role was to manage the systems that keep this small, yet powerful vehicle audible and echoing. Elsewhere is a living museum and artist residency set inside a former thrift store. Caldcleugh Arts Center was the only art center that focused it full attention on the artistic culture of other nations in Greensboro, NC. During my tenure, I received 10 years of "advanced training" in cultural arts administration. I redesigned arts education programs to include technical arts, writing and set design. I piloted and managed an online cultural exchange program with children in Smith Homes neighborhood and children in Dakar, Senegal and collaborated with refugee and immigrant communities to create programming that was relevant to them. I coordinated the renovation of the center's gymnasium into a 200 seat performance space and oversaw the restoration and installation of public art in that space. Through this experience I developed a level of skill in communication that allows me to develop artistic work with government agencies, universities, community organizers, corporate volunteers, educators and visual, performing and technical artists locally, nationally and internationally.
