I was responsible for foreign money transfers, import-export operations and workflows through branches to operations. My biggest responsibility was invisible foreign money transfers via SWIFT, which has approximately 400 million dollar transaction per day. SWIFT is a global application which all the banks in the world use it. SWIFT system is a very complex system that has 8000 pages only for its manuel. My most significant project was automating corporate foreign transfers from an excel file to SWIFT messages. In any bank 100 transfer would be done in 45 minutes, after our project Garanti has the ability to do 100 transfers in 10 seconds. As a bank member I was responsible of all the account transactions and great ledgers for customers, branches and Garanti banks off-shore accounts all over the world.
