While interning at the Niagara University Ticket Office, I was afforded the opportunity to serve the department in a number of facets, including data entry and digital marketing, namely e-mail direct and social media. In the data entry role I maintained a database of contact information for all youth ice hockey coaches from leagues across Western New York, Northwestern Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario. This database was utilized continually during the winter sports season in e-mail blast and sales initiatives. I served as the primary manager for the Niagara University ticket office Twitter account (@NiagaraUTickets). Utilizing Twitter I was able to disseminate game day and promotional information to followers and interact with fans and ticketholders through social media. With very little knowledge of how to run a social media account for an institution, I was forced to research the analytical aspects of social media optimization, learned to create graphics, etc. During my tenure I was able to double followers and triple Tweet impressions for the account. Also under the digital marketing umbrella, I assisted the Graduate Assistant with e-mail marketing blasts throughout the winter sports season. These were directed at youth teams participating in local youth tournaments within close proximity to Niagara, and during home Niagara Ice Hockey game weekends. Show less

Teachers Assistant
-
May 2016 - Dec 2016
As a university Teachers Assistant, I was responsible for aiding the International Business professor in a multidude of capacities. Aside from the day to day tasks, I assisted in grading weekly quizzes, editing papers and case studies, and researching information pertinent to a topic the professor was either covering in class or for her professional work. Alluding back to the editing aspect, I edited a professional case study written by a South Korean student discussing education in the country. For this I ensured that the study was grammatically correct in English, flowed well and that thoughts were clearly expressed on paper. Drafting a request for support was another notable task I conducted. This document was written in representation for the nonprofit private school Nightingale Montessori located in Springfield, Ohio. The request for support detailed the request of donations from the local community to help Montessori expand operations and move to a new $1 million facility. Show less

Head Ice Hockey Coach
-
Oct 2014 - Mar 2016
For two seasons I worked for the NTPRD Chiller, serving as one of their head coaches. This rink was brand new at the time, and the only ice rink available within an hour for most families. Here I coached the Mite, Squirt, and PeeWee age groups. It was a highly fulfilling experience for myself as I was afforded the opportunity to teach children on the fundamentals of the physical and mental aspects of playing ice hockey. The first season was the most rewarding, but also the most difficult. Most of my teams consisted of players that had never skated before, let alone played hockey. My first PeeWee game we lost 20-0 with a single shot on net to our credit. It was rough. However, my Mite and Squirt team ended the season with about a .600 win record. My PeeWee team ended their season in dramatic fashion. Falling by only two goals, the PeeWees lost the game 3-1 to the team that had beat us 20-0 in our first game. It was definitely one of many highlights I experienced while coaching. In my second season I coached only the Mite and Squirt division, finishing undefeated in league play and only losing 4 games in scrimmages against strong Travel teams. Show less
