Kenton and I met at ECPI University while working in the Career Services department at different campus locations. Kenton was soon promoted to Regional Director and then promoted again shortly after to a University Director position. His accomplishments demonstrate his ability to excel quickly in whatever goals are set. Kenton is able to build amazing relationships and contacts both in the region as well as nationwide. Kenton’s calm and positive demeanor is quite impressive when he is up against tight deadlines or high-stress situations. Kenton is able to lead a large team and support his leaders within. He was able to work with various departments to find streamlined solutions for any issues that would arise within our department. He also organized excellent professional development conferences for our team to gain more knowledge and skills to perform our jobs more effectively. After working with Kenton Scearce for six years, certain words come to mind: Ingenuity, Progressive, Conceptual and Leadership. I have always known Mr. Scearce to be an "idea guy". Mr. Scearce has a unique ability to always find ways to improve current situations, processes and business. Not only does he have the talent and initiative to follow through on these ideas, but the ideas he formulates are progressive and well beyond and above most employees. Mr. Scearce will always take things to the next level, his ideas are not ordinary or average. [September 2013 - October 2017] Managed career services activities regarding all 18 locations of ECPI University (SACS and ABHES accredited), including training and development of 14 Directors and around 40 additional career services staff. The department assists students with career development activities, to include: resume building, networking, interviewing, and the job search process (to name a few subjects of learning). We help employers locate talented professionals in the IT, Business, Criminal Justice, Culinary and Medical fields and hold a high ranking across the US in multiple categories. Also assist administration in terms of reporting, change strategies, marketing, compliance and process management. Successfully implemented several platforms and resources, assisting with goal management and increased student/graduate success. Regional Director of Career Services [September 2010 - September 2013] Responsible for 8 locations of ECPI University campuses. Main responsibilities included: staff training and development, business development (community partners) and overall support for each campus. Successfully improved employment percentages and salaries across my region, earning top honors in both categories each year. Campus Director of Career Services [May 2007 - September 2010] Responsible for all aspects of the career services department for the Innsbrook Campus in Richmond, VA. Consistently ranked in the top 5 campuses for calendar year employment percentages.
