  • 1984 joined Royal Danish Navy. Dedicated training as an electronics engineer within the Submarine Squadron to which I was attracted due to the range and complexity of available technology. Obtained Electro-Technical Officer - AV/IT certificate in 1989. Overseeing the maintenance and operation of the onboard electrical, navigation, radar and radio communications systems I was also trained as a helmsman and gained valuable experience as a passive radar and sonar technician. • A six month posting at the Danish Naval Radio Station, Tórshavn, Faroe Islands followed during which I further specialised in the technical repair and maintenance of TX/RX radio systems. • Expert electronics course focussing on MF/HF/VHF/UHF marine radio communications. • FCL10 Leadership course - promoted to rank of Sergeant, Electronic Accounting, December 1990. • 1991-1994 - instructed apprentices in electronic engineering at Royal Danish Naval Engineering School - specialised teaching in high frequency theory and practice. • 1995 - 1999 - Squadron Sergeant, Electronics. In charge of a unique workshop in Jutland Naval Base, Northern Denmark dedicated to the maintenance of all electronics in the Danish submarine fleet. Managed a team of 13 electronic and data engineers and taught submarine electronic systems. IT administrator for Naval Base. Coordinated wet and dry dock maintenance schedules. Project manager for new electronics systems purchase and installation. • NATO North Atlantic Fleet liaison - responsible for quality control for Danish submarine fleet to ensure adherence to NATO standard operating procedures and operations.
