Spearheaded a team of three Industrial Engineers for smooth running of routine operations. One of my key responsibility is to deliver first line technical assistance to distribution centers on Warehouse Management System (WMS) concerns. I create ad hoc reports for operations management team through SAS and Crystal Reports software. I also procured and negotiated maintenance contracts for RF equipment used alongside warehouse management system. Through identification of opportunities, I supported local operations team to achieve warehouse productivity targets. I also purchased and maintained electronic equipment for retails. In close collaboration with operations and IT management teams, I overcome server and network issues. I addressed Warehouse Facility Management concerns by delivering engineering expertise. I achieved the following:• Trained a Business School student over a nine month co-op program from 2010-2014 and 2018.• Saved $250K annually by introducing a new warehouse process.• Steered project and gained 30% improvement (on average) in picking productivity across four Distribution Centers.• Resume a stalled software integration project, which resulted in a 300% improvement in picking productivity for 25% of items in Distribution Center.• Serve as division technical resource for managing software applications.• Developed a novel way to repair a freezer floor and quantified the risks of all other repair technologies resulting in saving more than $6M construction and operational costs.• Modernized warehouse management system in five Distribution Centers without any operational disruptions.• Developed a simulation model demonstrating a new storage methodology to the Distribution Network that reduced the need to expand warehouse infrastructure for nearly a decade.• Led the development of distribution network strategies for Logistics and Feed Business Units.
