Improved our manufacturing process through personnel, equipment and maintenance. Implemented a quality control program for our product. Created manufacturing reports including graphs for our Vice President of the division. Reviewed our P&L monthly with the Vice President. Through negotiations improved our raw material cost by diversifying our buying power through multiple vendors. As a team we grew our division from $4.2M/yr to $16.3M/yr in just four years. When I returned to Dura Art Stone they were not manufacturing product at the level need to grow. I quickly restructured the production process and they achieved more production in 3 months by 1 1/2 times than had been produced in the previous 5 months. A position was opened for Plant Manager but was handed off to a family member with no experience. Two days later Cellofoam contacted me. Assisted in overseeing the process from design to installation of custom closets. This included daily reports, inventories, and quality control. I came to the company with the understanding my position was being groomed for the Production Manager position due to him leaving the following year. At the end of that time he had chosen to stay on and I chose to continue growing my career and experience. Assisted in overseeing the process from design to installation of custom closets. Read blueprints. Use mathematics to assist in mold manufacturing. Create casting lists for the setup crew for custom product. Design custom molds from architectural plans that will smooth manufacturing. Build models from wood, EPS, plaster and fiberglass. Perform quality control inspection of custom casting prior to pouring. Team up with detailers to ensure we are not missing any components needed for the products. Read blueprints.
