Developed and manage the performance of a robust IT department for a $100M organization that sells and administers the bar exam and character fitness examinations to all of 50 states and territories. Primary responsibilities center on the architecture, development, installation, integration and strategy for the association’s management information systems, as well as security and safeguards for company, employees and users. Serve as trusted technical advisor to the senior team. • Played pivotal role in growing company from 30 employees to 90+ and scaling up the IT department from a 2-member staff to a robust, high-performing 17-member team with nearly 100% employee retention • Direct team on development of all custom programs offered by the organization, including scoring, equating, reporting, etc. For one recent 2018 5-month period, the association tested 65K+ applicants• Started department with two servers (accounting and fire sharing); now manage 40+ servers on-premise• Direct the information and data integrity of the company and its business units and high-stakes offerings which includes Testing, Research, Character & Fitness, Publishing, Accounting, ADA accommodations, meetings and education, sales and licensing and general corporate• Manage 10-15 external vendors to ensure quality delivery and alignment with corporate objectives, budgets and timelines• Collaborate with other company mangers on internal and external operations impacted by capture, storage, processing and communications• Prepare, review and negotiate major contracts for computing and IT services and equipment• With ongoing training, engagement and mentorship have retained nearly 100% of all team members, with caveat of advancing to higher roles and responsibilities • Stay in front of potential risk, exposure with minimal downtime for systems
