The Compeer motto is, "Make a friend, change your life"; Through Compeer of the Lehigh Valley we match Lehigh and Northampton County, PA adults who live with a chronic, long-term mental illness in friendship matches with adult volunteers. During state side assignments, I conducted field training for Enemy Prisoner of War (EPW) facilities and also conducted a one year Law and order deployment at Ft. Eustis, Va.During my overseas deployment in 2003, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I was a squad leader and carried out various duties such as: U.S. Customs operations, base security, off base static and mobile check points, and convoy escorts. I also received the rank of E-6 during this time.
