Since Fidgets Oilfield Services was a relatively new company when I started, I had the privilege of starting and implementing a successful Environmental Health and Safety program from scratch while working and attending school full-time. While working as an HSE coordinator for FOS which provides services to energy companies as well as power plants, I maintained an impressive record of zero loss time accidents with a staff of 40 – 50 employees performing very hazardous tasks. Here are just a few examples of the HSE program I developed and coordinated: Prepared a written hazardous communication program. Established a written respiratory program. Designed an emergency action plan. Facilitated a spill prevention plan. Conducted safety meetings and oriented new hires. Provided training on lockout/tag out procedures, confined space entry, fall protection, blood borne pathogens, and etc… Performed job hazards analysis and accident investigations/prevention. Calibrated and maintained atmospheric monitoring equipment.
