I have found Ken to be a prolific, knowledgeable expert writer on emerging markets, especially Brazil and Russia. He intimately understands the complex dynamics between politics and financial markets in a host of developing countries; his perspective clearly comes from traveling extensively and undertaking in-depth research. Furthermore, Ken has curated an extensive rolodex of contacts both on the ground and in the financial centers of the world, which enables him to tie in a host of viewpoints on complex subjects. He is entertaining to boot! I have followed Ken's writings across a host of his posts, for several years.

For the last few years Forbes has been lucky to have Ken Rapoza as one of its chief contributors. His knowledge of the emerging BRIC markets is comprehensive and his reporting and writing skills are exemplary. We are lucky because he is also one of the most prolific of the writers contributing to our Investing and Markets section and, he is a pleasure to work with.

A random newsletter focused on the big picture actions relating around what I call the Party of Davos, and their relationship with China. A team of three investors hams it up over the news of the day as it relates to politics/markets. And makes one or two investment calls. We also introduce a secret professor from Academe...we call him Smartypants. And, our closing credits are different to the Substack genre. We make a serious issue sassy and breezy. I am a freelance writer giving my thoughts on business and investment news in the emerging markets, with a focus on Brazil, Russia, India and China. I also write about cryptocurrency investing, though my sources will all be from the aforementioned markets. Former full-timer. I do not write for the magazine any longer. Publishing around 5 thought pieces per month with sources in the industry I'm covering. I was a monthly columnist giving my expert opinion on the media business as well as coverage of media policy for the web and the print edition. Proudly coined the phrase "Pandora's Dam" in ITT, the name of the largest hydroelectric power plant under construction at the time in Brazil's Amazon, and second largest in the world. I covered Brazilian business and economy mostly as a features writer. I was their go-to guy in Brazil during my time working for Dow Jones/WSJ in Sao Paulo. Newswriter and booker. My fave thing about WBUR was the EP Bruce G. Still friends with him. Taught me a lot about journalism. And in an unassuming way, he has been one of my mentors. "It's all fish wrap in the morning." Taught me to keep my head out of the clouds, and in the game. Newswriter and booker. My fave thing about WBUR was the EP Bruce G. Still friends with him.
