Kenny is a peer of mine whom I've had the opportunity to interact with in a multitude of academic and social settings. One thing that impresses me about Kenny is his ability to speak up and speak out for what he believes in even if the local majority disagrees. Furthermore, Kenny is a bright individual who has shown to learn across different fields with ease. What also stands out about Kenny is his independence; he can be trusted to complete tasks on his own. And although he's self-reliant, Kenny also interacts confidently and amicably with others.

    • Marketing Analyst

      • One of two chosen as marketing analysts for this Charlotte-based Big Data startup. Funded by over $4 million in Silicon Valley seed money, Stratifyd is on the cutting edge of unstructured data analytics. Their lead service, Signals, can integrate multiple data silos into a single easy-to-read visualization. Vastly outperforming my job description, I worked my way into direct partnership with the CEO. Regularly presented my findings at executive meetings. • Using the Signals platform, I ran analyses of 10,000 online chat entries between consumers and sales representatives. Through rigorous data analysis I discovered that a disproportionate number of grievances aired via chat dealt with the confusion over the procedures for filling out a federally mandated signature card. I created a business proposal advocating for the streamlining of signature card instructions for Ally Bank. My proposal was sent all the way to Ally Bank executives and brought up in conversations between Stratifyd and Ally Bank as a key example of the power of Signals. • Strategized, coordinated, and executed a 3000+ person direct, customized email marketing campaign to business executives in a wide array of industries. Gathered contact information from Kitedesk and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, stratified contacts based on position and industry into separate email blocs on Salesforce, wrote customized emails for each bloc, and tracked emails using Mailchimp. Produced an eight percent open rate and multiple responses for inquiry into Stratifyd’s services. • Produced a video of my own initiative breaking down Royal Caribbean’s social media buzz. Stratifyd still uses it today as one of its main marketing materials. Wrote 30+ blog entries highlighting over 20 case studies showcasing the applications of Signals in a variety of industries. • Responsible for the expansion of Stratifyd’s social media, growing their Facebook likes 200 percent.
