Graduate student in Carlos Simmerling's group, a research group focused on the development of and application of methods for Molecular Dynamics simulations.Research was performed on methods development for biomolecules, with a primary focus on enhanced sampling methods for RNA for the Amber biomolecular simulation suite. Work has resulted in highly converged ensembles for RNA within a reasonable real world simulation time, and publication is currently in preparation. Additional work on enhanced sampling with proteins has resulted in published work.Acted as system administrator for a tower style in-house GPU cluster with over 70 GPUs built using off-the-shelf retail parts, with a focus on hardware work. Responsibilities as a system administrator included translating the research group's computational needs into a parts list which balanced budget and power. Additional duties included the construction of and network connection of towers for the cluster, as well as maintenance and diagnosis/repair of machines as they failed. Managed the upgrade and migration of a 40 TB NAS RAID array. Also managed the slurm queuing system. Show less
