Ken has one of the most contagiously joyous dispositions of anyone I’ve ever met. He has a way of processing complex information while also setting your mind at ease that everything is going to be ok. And a DEIB advocate, Ken affords himself to new methodologies. As a leader, Ken has a large array of skill sets that set him apart as a valuable and needed commodity in any organization, but especially Per Scholas.

Dr. JR Sledge

Ken is a dedicated champion for DEIB! As a leader for our organization in this space, Ken always manages to create the best climate and processes for all stakeholders to exchange ideas and reactions in a safe and welcoming space. Then, out of nowhere, he challenges you to go deeper and to do better! I have witnessed Ken lead the organization from conversation to action in a number of ways, including his work with the Board and C-Suite leaders which has had a major impact on the entire organization. I am so fortunate and honored to witness and experience his work in this space.

Kenneth is a true professional. I enjoyed working with him on projects that he was running with Per Scholas when I owned EPIC Global Logistics. He truly saw the big picture in the operations and took a keen interest in tackling the critical issues facing the business.

The Future of Work is Diverse by Design and since 2016 Per Scholas has been intentional in changing the face of the tech sector with a focus on diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging (DEIB). We've determined that the time is now to bolster our DEIB influence to ensure we have a tangible, measurable impact on the learners we serve, the employer partners we work with, and our Per Scholas colleagues. We acknowledge the significant opportunity we have to lead the workforce development sector as a proven solution to addressing our nation's workforce diversity challenge. In 2022, Ken has taken on the expanded role of EVP, Diversity, Inclusion Equity, & Culture. Ken's responsibilities will include managing our external-facing Diverse by Design (DxD) initiative and strengthening our internal-facing DEIB efforts. This symbiotic approach to DEIB will allow us to leverage the recently announced employer commitments to increase diverse technology talent within the sector. In addition, the DxD team will partner with the Employer Engagement division, and together they will drive forward our shared belief that diversity should be a business imperative for our employer partners. We will further make the business case that an inclusive culture drives better decision-making, stimulates innovation, and helps American companies sustain long-term success in today's global marketplace. Ken will continue to work on our expansion efforts, working with new staff and campus personnel to ensure they have a sense of belonging at Per Scholas and integrate them into our org-wide culture. In addition, Ken will continue to drive strategy around innovation, environment, social, and operational governance at our new campus locations, thinking of new ways to reimagine our campus classrooms and overall footprint.
