Kenneth is a highly skilled programmer with a vast knowledge of programming. His drive for making games has always inspired me. Working together with him on the lead team for Dwarfheim, he showed me a lot on how programming works and helped me as the art lead to better plan art tasks to make it easier for programming. He is a good team leader and an even greater mentor, but where he really shines is R&D and tool development.

Kenneth is a joy to work with. He has a very calm and reflective attitude that gives him the super power to find a solution when everything is burning around him. And he always finds a solution! Kenneth has a good sense of ethics when it comes to protecting the users of what he develops as well as the programmers he works with. He is an encouraging leader that engages in problem solving. I have been amazed with Kenneth's patience in explaining the complexities of systems to me and indulging me to engage in the problem solving process. He is passionate about game design and creating effective solutions for how to build them. His knowledge is endless and he has a great ability to pull references from the top of his mind in production meetings. Kristensen is a valuable asset to any game development team!

Summary: Working mainly on the game "DwarfHeim". Tool creation, gameplay mechanics, QA, release builds, deliveries, software architecture, networking, synchronization, demos, leadership, team coordination, pair programming, DevOps, Scrum etc.The first months included creating and improving tools for further development. Tools for implementing, serializing, loading and instantiating both specific and abstract game entities. Other tools and frameworks, among others, included network synchronization and data transfer of real-time game events. Another tool was for asset import workflows for animated characters with animations and sets of possible visual equipment.Furthermore, specific gameplay mechanics were added, smaller systems for connecting sound, VFX and animations as well as handling the main player input through keyboard and mouse. A year into the employment I worked with the team on putting together and polishing a gameplay demo, showcasing a subset of the game's intended mechanics. For the demo I also performed as one of two voice actors for the narrative. After a year I received/assumed full responsibilities for the code architecture and planning of future tasks as well as planning and coordination of a part of the programming team, eventually upscaled to the entire programming team. At the later stages of this role in the company I started rebuilding the networking solution and making further frameworks for serializing and working with byte data. Show less
