My final clinical placement was at Firelands Regional Medical Center in the Inpatient Rehab Unit. At this site, I worked with a wide range of patients including Neuro diagnoses such as Parkinson's Disease and CVA's, and orthopedic post joint replacements. This facility was my first outpatient clinical experience. At this clinic, our main patient population included chronic pain, but we also saw orthopedic patients, general weakness and debility, as well as balance deficits. Here, I was able to shadow aquatic therapy, occupational therapy, surgery, and blood flow restriction training. At this clinic, I was able to manage 4-6 patients a day. This facility was my first outpatient clinical experience.
