Keni is by far is the most powerful self-starter and creator I have worked with in my career in marketing and advertising. He is committed heart and soul to his tireless quest to level the playing field for diverse talent. Keni takes nothing and makes something out of it. While everyone sits around and talks (and talks and talks) about the lack of diversity, Keni does something about it. And not something small but something game-changing. He single-handedly built solid campaigns in underserved communities while curating hard conversations around race and social understanding. He started from scratch an internship program at J. Walter Thompson called the Young Commodores and created a pathway for young people into the ad world. Keni is a star.

Keni has enabled programs like ours at City Tech compete with private art school programs because of the simple fact that he has provided opportunity and exposure. The key to our strategy is relationships in order to neutralize the public-private resource gap. It goes without saying that without champions like Keni inside the industry we would be locked out. The Young Commodores was a wonderful way for our students to apply what they learn in our classrooms at a real agency on real client problems.
