In 2016, Goldcorp purchased 19.9% of IGO for $1.96 million, negotiations that Ms. Johnston played an integral role in. As President, Ms. Johnston’s responsibilities include leading the strategic planning process, gaining the Boards collective buy-in, executing the Boards vision with the staff team and overseeing all project management activities. Project included 23 properties, 4 camps and 35 employees/contractors, completed >12,000 soil samples, 3,000 m of drilling and 4 airborne geophysical surveys• Monitored and managed staking programs, land claims (more than 10,000 claims), and permitting (obtained two Class III exploration permits in the Yukon and a five-year multi-area based permit in BC)• Worked closely with local communities and First Nations, achieving social license to work in the area• Evaluated properties for acquisition, and completed transactional negotiations and executed agreements for more than 15 properties.
