World Series of Barbecue -Team registration contact and liaison for 400+ Teams. Acted as the main contact and concierge for inquires, payments, account updates, competition questions, etc. -Event plans: Beginning in May until the event was cancelled (August) – worked with the event manager to update the overall event plans to ensure the safety of all guests at the event (teams, judges, volunteers and staff). -Supplies and Suppliers: worked with sanctioning body (KCBS) and event manager to evaluate the supplies and suppliers needed at the event in the wake of COVID. Worked on quantities, quotes, estimates, timelines, etc. -Event Cancellation: Assisted in communication to all registered teams and judges at the cancellation of the event. Additionally assisted in the refund process for all teams and verification of each account, amount to process, refund proofing, etc. Sauce & Rub Contest -Processed entries – Reviewed each entry and processed the bottles once they arrived – including checking each bottle to ensure it was correct, undamaged, put in order and number for the contest. -Assisted the event manager on all setup, event execution and tear down. -Assisted in executing the updated event plan to ensure the safety of all judges and volunteers in the wake of COVID-19.
