  The role of the teacher is to implement and co-plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students. This program of study must be based on the VDOE Standards of Learnings strands and differentiated for every student. As the teacher I must guide the learning process towards the achievement of curriculum goals within the content of these goals, establishing a clear objective for all lessons, units and projects with the ability to communicate these objectives to students and parents or guardians. It is the sole purpose of the classroom teacher to maintain an optimal learning environment that is safe and effective for all learning styles. There is also a well-developed behavior management, as well as, time management skill that is needed to perform tasks on a day-to-day basis, as a Classroom teacher. This skill has molded me into maintaining an organizational habit, as well as, having an eye for detail when it comes to data tracking. I was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. Well organized and able to multitask. Able to use and utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google Drives.
