As an assistant manager, I help oversee maintenance operation in polyolefins units. I am heavily involved in polyethylene unit plant turnaround planning, pertaining projects/bid work, material procurement, and API inspections. Additionally, I lead a team of staff, engineers, and supervisors to resolve both short-term and long term challenges and provide resources to supplement the team. As an assistant manager, I help oversee maintenance operation in polyolefins units. As a staff engineer, I perform cause mapping, a scalable process based on "5-why" model, to facilitate timely and effective root cause analysis on plant equipment in Polyolefin units. I have also been heavily involved in a turnaround project to replace corroded ducts with better corrosion resistant material. As far as unit maintenance goes, I work with Authorized Inspector to come up with inspection plan for affected pressure vessels per API 510. I handled material purchase, on-site installation contract, reviewing and approving material fabrication, project schedule planning, turnaround supervision, and closure of the project. - Purchasing two waste gas knockout drums that are made of C-22 alloy to improve the resistance to corrosion and reviewing specification and quotes - Turn-key piping system installation for steam condensate drums in Poly-Olefin unit.- 2-cell cooling tower repair and material upgrade from wooden structure to applied fiberglass reinforced plastic to improve its resistance to corrosion- Purchasing a Duplex 2205 stainless steel de-ionized water storage vessel in PVC unit and reviewing specification and quotes- Producing long-term contracts including but not limited to plant-wide scaffolding, governor turbine repair, fiberglass reinforced plastics repair, etc. with outside vendors.- Designing a high pressure steam condensate drum in a computer modeling software, Compress, per ASME Pressure Vessel Division 1.
