      Ken has held a license as a Marriage & Family Therapist since 1998, maintaining all continuing education requirements and training throughtout the duration of this time. Ken completed his graduate work at NIU in 1996. Upon completing his Masters program, Ken worked at a Community Mental Health Center with the chronically mentally ill in Freeport, Il. He also gained experience working with a residential adolescent population in Streamwood, Il. Ken has worked extensively as an outpatient therapist therapist at 2 other private practices prior to his current position - one in Door County, Wisconsin and the other in St. Charles, Illinois. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Ken actively works with individuals, couples and families by providing a secure place where they can confidently work thru life's challenges, on the path to living the best version of themselves - and to succeed in the face of those challenges. He works collaboratively with his clients to restore the relationships that bring meaning to their lives, to recover and heal from the struggles life can bring to us all and ultimately to thrive whenever possible. Ken has continued to advanced his clinical skills with additional training in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR. He currently holds a position as a therapist at St. Charles Counseling, and owns the practice alongside his incredible wife and colleague, Nancy Kuhn. Nancy initially started the practice as a solo practitioner - St. Charles Counseling has been serving the Fox Valley area since 2005.

      Actively identified and acquired undervalued commercial and residential properties. The properties acquired were held and managed as rental properties as a hold strategy during a period of recovery for both real-estate markets. The strategy, as well as market timing, was effective in capitalizing on market conditions and allowing the properties to appreciate, yielding more than a 100% overall return on the invested capital. The commercial property had the added benefit of leasing to St. Charles Counseling as one of it's tenants during the time it was held.
