Coffee importing
-
2010 - Present
Each year, the Carpenteros and Friends import 'direct trade' coffee from a cooperative of coffee producers in Olancho, Honduras. This exceptional coffee is available for purchase in Canada, and the producers earn a premium that is approx. 30% higher than they would have received through any other buyer. All net proceeds from coffee sales are used for community development work in Honduras.
