Currently at Able my role is CAD Technician. I am responsible for producing high quality drawings for use in various situations ranging from planning submissions through to Engineering works and land sales. Currently I am involved in ground modelling of some of our sites using the Keyterrafirma modelling package.

At Queensberry Design I produced engineering designs for various civil infrastructure and highways projects. This incorporated Private drainage design, junction improvement works and roundabout Design. Along with the associated signing and lining schemes. These projects have been on behalf of some of the major house building firms in the North East such as Miller Homes and Bellway Homes etc.

At Swiftpage, I supported our customers via telephone support For the Act! Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. This can ranged from simple ‘How do I?’ type queries, to resolving technical issues. This wass carried out via telephone conversation and remote desktop control of the customers PC. I was also being trained in the more technical Sales Logix CRM software.

At Aecom I was a Grade 7 Technician within the Traffic Technology department. My duties included highway and junction improvement/design, sign design, vehicle swept path analysis, Site inventory and various traffic surveys and general draughting work. I have completed projects for clients such as TfL (Transport for London), Highways Agency, various local authorities, Nexus and large construction companies.

At Encia I was a Design Technician working in civil infrastructure projects. My main duties were the design of Public and Private drainage schemes, adoptable and private road and junction design to local authority standards, the creation of section 38 and 104 agreements, ground modelling and the creation of setting out drawings. Clients I have worked for include Barratt Homes, Persimmon Homes and Evans Carlton developments and ranged from the Newcastle to Middlesbrough areas.

At Atkins I worked on a variety of projects both comprising of both infrastructure and structural disciplines. My duties included creating drawings to Engineers specifications, creation of Section 38 & 104 agreements, office QA and the creation of as-built drawings where required. Clients included the DWP, various house builders and SITA.

My duties within WSP ranged from civil infrastructure work for private house builders to the creation of general arrangement drawings for gantries sited alongside motorways in Staffordshire and the West Midlands for the Highways Agency. Clients I have worked for include Wimpey, Miller Construction, Leech Homes, UCI Cinemas, Newcastle United and Celtic Football Clubs and M&S.
