  RainGrid Inc.'s mission is to meet the climate adaptation challenge of urban stormwater impacts upon our cities by building reliable, adaptive, intelligent and networked grids of residential-scale, distributed stormwater storage. RainGrid Utilities reduce flood risk, enhance urban infrastructure sustainability, and protect drinking water security. We work in collaboration with municipal stormwater utilities and metropolitan sewer districts, the land development sector, engineering and design firms, and the property and casualty insurance industry to replace conventional stormwater infrastructure with smart "rainfrastructure". RainGrid works in close collaboration with the MaRS Discovery District Cleantech Venture Services, was selected as a 2013 Impact 8 social innovation cleantech leader, and won the November 2014 Cities category of the Challenge Cup cleantech business competition to represent Canada at the global Challenge Cup, in Washington, D.C. in May 2015.
