  Utilizing the MARC format and AACR2 (and RDA), I create digital library records from existing short format records, old card catalog materials, or new physical items (books, DVDs, etc). I also create Library of Congress call numbers using title and subject. I've created thousands of records with varying degrees of standards via institution parameters. I continue to contribute authority records towards our NACO certification.As a technician in the scanning/digitization department, I've contributed in a number of capacities. As a part of the QA team i've transcribed census records, reviewed scanned photos, and reviewed/edited text files translated from scanned images for digital distribution. While working on a camera, I've scanned client materials of multiple forms (books, scrapbooks, photos, negatives, slides) as well as learn to utilize the Phase One medium format camera platform with tethering to Capture One software.

  As a project manager in the Digitization department, I manage a team of technicians headed up by the Project coordinator. I monitor scheduling, write pricing quotes, act as the point of contact for the clients whose projects I take on, etc. As the sole Project manager in Digitization in Provo, I'm also responsible for the scanning equipment.

  I assist Data Technicians (DTs) in any way I can to help them to function at the peak of performance. Aside from fielding questions, I do quality control on their work and monitor their performance statistics and attendance. Working with my superiors, I do my best to make sure projects run smoothly. During 2014-2015, I participated in the NACO certification of the company, creating authority records for people and corporations.

  Assisted in the creation and bottling/packaging of drinks, dressings, cheeses, and ice cream for the BYU campus. My duties could also include: assisting with deliveries, customer service with BYU sales locations and customers to meet their needs, cleaning of machinery used in food creation, and programming digital scales.
