From 2018 through 2020 I worked to facilitate a major occupied rehabilitation/refinance project of our 222 Unit Section 8 HUD 202 Senior Only Housing Project in conjunction with our Management Company. In preparation I attended planning meetings, City and State public forums and helped facilitate gathering required documentation to get the project approved for refinance. During construction my main role was being the liaison between the construction team, the relocation group YPA staff, and the residents. This position is responsible for the overall management of an elderly facility. This includes administration, provision of service and maintenance of facilities in a caring and efficient manner for the betterment of residents, visitors and associated personnel. More than a building superintendent, the professional administrator of housing for the elderly is responsible for the social as well as physical environment of the facility. Administrative Duties: Administers, coordinates and directs all actives of the complex. Assists in the development and interpretations of polices and procedures and implements these policies and procedures to ensure a high quality of life for the betterment of the residents, visitors and associated personnel. Provides high integrity support, displaying the upmost in confidentiality, discretion and loyalty in all areas. Interviews, hires and supervises all personnel. Researches applications, accepts, interviews and orients new residents. Assures adherence to requirements set forth by federal, state and local regulatory agencies Prepares written reports and participates in management meetings as directed by the President. Reports periodically to the President and the Board of Directors. Pursues a continuing program of formal and informal education in retirement home administration to maintain, strengthen, and broaden concepts, philosophy and ability as an elderly housing Administrator.
