  Environmental Law is the nation’s oldest law review dedicated solely to environmental issues. The journal is a premier legal forum for environmental and natural resources scholarship. As a Form and Style Editor, I fulfill a more traditional editing role for ELR. The Form and Style Editor determines where substantive statements in an article need support and ensures first textual mentions of statutes and cases are cited as required by the Environmental Law Greenbook. Later in the editing process, the Form and Style Editor reviews the entire article for general grammatical issues, which can be quite substantive, in addition to ensuring consistency with forms. The Form and Style Editor relies heavily on the Texas Law Review Manual on Usage & Style, the Environmental Law Greenbook, and the Bluebook. Some grammatical and form issues require outside knowledge and research. Further, the Form and Style Editor explains the rules and rationale behind edits to the Editor in Chief to allow the Editor in Chief to efficiently understand and adopt edits. Show less
