Artificial/natural wetlands and aquatic habitats across the Front Range known to breed mosquitoes were routinely inspected, as well as undocumented or temporary waterways that exhibited the requirements for breeding. Appropriate larvicide application was executed when mosquito larvae/pupae were present, while avoiding harm to non-target organisms by utilizing the appropriate product for that environment. Exposure to and the understanding of many common larvicide reactions and mechanisms, including both chemical and biological. Maintained and practiced applicable laws, rules and regulations governing pesticide application. Gained the ability to work independently within various environments and in unpredictable weather.
