  Licensure Officer- A primary role as the TEP Administrator is to operate as the Certifying Officer for State of Iowa Teacher Licensure: Perform compliance duties for teacher licensure and endorsements, support students to make plans when needed, work with BoEE consultants to adjust student programs, and provide career counseling. Academic Advisor- Another primary role is to serve as academic advisor to assigned elementary, secondary, physical education and music education students. I review transcripts for students, develop long-range plan audits for all education division students. I meet with all prospective students for campus visits interested in education, teaching endorsements, or Iowa teaching licensure. Student Instruction- Each semester, I speak with students in specific classes regarding licensure issues, background checks, and testing responsibilities. I am the Student Teaching Placement Coordinator, which requires the building of relationships with regional schools and to make decisions about student placements based on best fit.
