Kelsey joined the Centura Health Community Health Improvement and Values Integration department during the spring of 2017 during her last semester of her 3L year and prior her bar examination. This department oversaw Centura's 17 hospitals representing an uniquely diverse demographic, geographic, socioeconomic, and multi-religious sponsored hospital system throughout Colorado and part of Kansas. As a legal intern she was exposed to various policies and responses to legislations which she assisted in their development both in their drafts, supporting lit, and roll-outs across our system in our Biomedical Ethics (Values Integration) department. She also participated in some very interesting projects in the legal partnerships and self-help programming that I was developing in the Medical Legal Partnership space. I was impressed by her positive attitude, organization and coordination skills, as well as her strong skills in producing presentation quality and factually concise materials. I also found Kelsey to be unafraid to ask questions while also being willing to tackle a task and challenge herself without clear parameters. It was a pleasure to supervise and mentor Kelsey. I look forward to watch her career develop and know she is and will remain to be true asset to the legal community and the communities in which she practices.
