  Under the direction of Dr. Corina Kellner of NAU, acid base chemistry was used in processing of ancient human remains. Bone was prepared for stable isotope analysis via mass spectrometry. Results were analyzed to better understand migration, food, and water sources of ancient Nasca trophy heads.

  Tree density of burn sites affected in the 2004 fires surrounding Fairbanks was estimated via density assay. This project was made possible by the collaboration between Dr. Jill Johnstone of University of Saskatchewan and Dr. Michelle Mack of Northern Arizona University.
