As a web visuals staff member, my role was primarily focused on creating engaging visual content that accompanied various articles on the website. Specifically, I was responsible for two main tasks: graphic design and photography. As a graphic designer, I worked with the editorial team to brainstorm and come up with ideas for visual elements that would enhance the articles they were working on. In addition to graphic design, I also contributed to the website as a photographer. This involved taking high-quality photos that visually supported the articles on the site.

During my time in my sorority, I was committed to fulfilling the requirements set forth by the organization, including completing 30 service hours per year, attending sisterhood events, weekly chapter meetings, and staying involved on campus. Additionally, I held several leadership positions within the chapter, including banner chair, video chair, and bid day chair. Banner chair (2021): I was responsible for designing and creating all of our banners for school events, competitions, and sisterhood events. This involved using my creative skills to come up with eye-catching designs that would effectively promote our chapter and its activities. Video chair (2021-22): I was responsible for creating all promotional videos to help showcase our chapter. This involved coordinating with other members, determining the messaging and themes of the videos, filming and editing footage, and ultimately creating a final product that effectively communicated our values and activities to potential members and the wider community. Bid day chair (2021-22): I played a critical role in planning our bid day event, which is one of the most significant sorority events of the year. This involved not only coordinating with other members to ensure a successful event but also reaching out to external partners and vendors to secure necessary supplies and decorations. Ultimately, I helped create a fun and engaging experience that welcomed new members into our community with open arms. Overall, my involvement in my sorority required a significant time commitment, but it was well worth it. Not only did I develop valuable leadership and organizational skills, but I also formed lifelong bonds with my fellow members and had the opportunity to give back to my community in meaningful ways.

During my summer internship at BCH, I was responsible for creating graphics and designing print materials. This allowed me to further develop my skills in Adobe software programs. In addition to these technical skills, I also gained valuable insights into branding. Working in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays allowed me to collaborate with the rest of the staff and gain valuable insight into the advertising industry. This helped me understand the importance of effective communication and teamwork in the workplace. On the other days, I worked remotely and had the opportunity to work independently and manage my time effectively. Overall, this internship provided me with the opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge to real-world projects, while also learning new skills and insights from experienced professionals.
