Kelly is a dedicated and hard working news producer. She worked very well with all of our directors. Kelly was not afraid to try new things in her newscasts and would actively seek out the advice of the production crew on how to make her ideas work on the air, a true team player. Kelly is very good when it comes to paying attention to details, an attribute that is quite important in our business. She has a great attitude and is always a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Kelly for a position.

Kelly is a talented and hardworking news producer. She has an excellent work ethic and devoted all her time to putting together the most comprehensive show possible. Kelly's new judgment along with her persistence to get good stories and video each day for the show make her a strong producer. She is open to ideas and constructive criticism and was always looking for suggestions on how to make the show stronger. Kelly always maintains a positive attitude and a cool temper which are invaluable qualities in news producer.

I was assigned to oversee the station's RNC coverage. This project went well beyond the news department. I assembled a team of people from around the station to ensure the project's success. I oversaw the team that assembled a world-class mobile studio at the Quicken Loans Arena, negotiated the contracts to ensure the crews in the arena and at the station were properly fed, worked with our corporate office to coordinate security training for crews and helped ensure that dozens of out town employees had work areas at the station. I produced an hour-long newscast for the Fox affiliate in Boston. The show required me to think 2 to 3 steps ahead at all times. Beginning in January, I was required to participate in both the 7:30am desk call as well as the 9:30am editorial meeting to help decide the day's coverage. From 9am until 2pm, I was usually the only producer in the building. As a result, when news broke, I was often called upon to coordinate and produce the coverage. For example, when Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with cancer, I was responsible for boothing 5 hours of live breaking news coverage. I have also handled situations as diverse as Amber Alerts and courtroom verdicts. I worked closely with the writers for the show and assisted with training several of them to become producers. I started at WPXI out of college as a writer. Within a year, I was producing the weekend morning show. Then, I became the Channel 11 Morning News producer and stayed in that position for 5 years. Following that, I was named the producer for the Channel 11 News at Five and then produced the Channel 11 News at Six before moving to Boston. I started at WPXI out of college as a writer.
