  I was assigned to oversee the station's RNC coverage. This project went well beyond the news department. I assembled a team of people from around the station to ensure the project's success. I oversaw the team that assembled a world-class mobile studio at the Quicken Loans Arena, negotiated the contracts to ensure the crews in the arena and at the station were properly fed, worked with our corporate office to coordinate security training for crews and helped ensure that dozens of out town employees had work areas at the station. Executive produced two RNC-related specials.Coordinated the newsroom's coverage of the 2016 elections including webcasts on primary and election night as well as two election-related specials.Mentored producers to help ensure consistency with showcasing and storytelling.Executive produced the regional Emmy Award-winning special, "Pattern of Problems: Investigating the Failures and Uncovering the Solutions for the Cleveland Police Department" in 2015. In 2016, executive produced "Drowning in Dysfunction" a half-hour investigation into the Cleveland Water Department and the regional Emmy Award-winning special "'Til Death: Ohio Women At Risk", an investigation into Ohio's domestic violence laws.   Oversaw the implementation of a brand new team at News 5. The reporters, producers and photographers work on enterprise, exclusive and investigative stories that break during Good Morning Cleveland. A more fully-developed version of the story runs during an afternoon newscast. Oversees the daily operations of the Originals unit, formerly the E-Team, including story assignment and development as well as reporter/photographer pairings. Oversees the development of major station coverage plans including elections, the NBA Finals, the MLB playoffs and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions. Oversees the scheduling of almost the entire newsroom after revamping the entire scheduling process. Served as acting assistant news director from September 2017 through December 2017.   I produced an hour-long newscast for the Fox affiliate in Boston. The show required me to think 2 to 3 steps ahead at all times. Beginning in January, I was required to participate in both the 7:30am desk call as well as the 9:30am editorial meeting to help decide the day's coverage. From 9am until 2pm, I was usually the only producer in the building. As a result, when news broke, I was often called upon to coordinate and produce the coverage. For example, when Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with cancer, I was responsible for boothing 5 hours of live breaking news coverage. I have also handled situations as diverse as Amber Alerts and courtroom verdicts. I worked closely with the writers for the show and assisted with training several of them to become producers.
