      I am Co-Chair of the Brimmer and May Humanities Department and teach Middle and Upper School courses in Asian and European history. As a teacher, I have developed several humanities courses from the ground up that focus on using primary sources to build writing, research, and collaborative skills in a project-based environment for students with a wide range of learning styles.

      As the Director of Global Studies for Brimmer and May, I run the Upper School’s Global Studies Diploma Program for students interested in focusing their studies on either World Language, Science, Political Science/History, or Economics. I teach three electives geared toward the program: A Survey of Global Studies, The Family and Society in India and China, and Women's Studies: A Global Perspective. I also manage a variety of extra-curricular experiences for the program, such as field trips, speakers, and collaborative projects.I also run the Upper School Winterim Program. This takes place every two years, during which the entire Upper School travels domestically or internationally the week before March Break. I oversee 9-11 trips per Winterim session and have taken students to China, India, Ireland, and the Dominican Republic. Show less
